KIDS' Airdry Clay Modelling Kit  

 This is a quick, easy, simple, happy solution to entertaining kids.  A great introduction to clay and lots of fun.​​  I will deliver the clay to your address and you all can get going.

  • Airdry clay is what the kids often use at school.  It’s probably as strong as paper mache.  If you want to make it stronger you can varnish it.  The creations won’t last forever, and often the durability depends on how well the creations are made. They will be able to paint them with any paints you have around the house. 

 

Pottery Craft Kit

Ideal for Adults and Teens who wish to get stuck into larger pottery projects.  These could be hand building functional items like - plates,  platters, vases, mugs... or larger sculptural forms. 

Projects typically include pinch pots, coiling and slab work.

This kit has more clay - which will allows you to make bigger pieces - and one colour.  Includes transparent glazing.

  • 2 kg  quality Stoneware clay 

  • Simple YouTube instructions 

  • New projects weekly  

  • Glazing & firing included 

  • Tools included: Paint brush, pointy stick.

  • Choice of 50ml coloured slip ('paint made from coloured liquid clay)  - choose from: White, Black, Light Green, Sky Blue, Royal Blue 

  • Additional colours & volumes available to purchase 

 

  • Frost proof and dishwasher proof.  

  • Delivery to St Albans and surrounding towns & villages.

  • Glazing & firing done at my studio in central St Albans. Leave on my doorstep when complete.

  • Creations must be well-made to withstand firing process. Badly made work could explode causing damage.

  • The firing process: 

    • dry carefully

    • bisque fire to 1000C

    • Apply glaze

    • Glaze firing to 1240C

 

This can take  up to 3 weeks, and you will need to arrange delivery & collection to central St Albans.

Ideal for art loving kids (and siblings and parents). Let the imaginations run wild!!  These 'real' clay creations will last forever, but need to be well-made in order to withstand the firing process.  

  • Good quality Stoneware clay 

  • Enough for 3 projects

  • Simple and clear instructions on YouTube

  • Wide choice of projects, added to frequently 

  • Glazing & firing included 

  • Tools included: Paint brush, pointy stick & 'paint' (coloured liquid clay called 'Slip')

  • Kit delivery to St Albans and surrounding towns & villages

  • Generally suitable for 9yrs +

  • Younger children may need supervision

Coloured Slip

Additional coloured slip (liquid clay paint) can be ordered to supplement the Super Clay-only kit (optional - not essential) or Clay modelling kits.

NOTE: they cannot be used with Airdry clay and a good amount is  already included in the 'Clay Modelling & firing kit'.

Pricing depends on quantity required as well as the cost of the colourants. eg. Red contains several rare elements.
